Welcome to the website of Chegadão, New Orleans' only samba-funk and forró Brazilian/American conglomeration of craziness.   Conceived by Marcio Pereira and Scott Myers  in 2008,  Chegadão blurs the boundaries of genre and nationality, while introducing listeners to some of the rhythms and sounds of Brazil in a fully danceable way.     Amongst original music, you'll hear forró from artists like Luiz Gonzaga and Gilberto Gil, samba, maractú, all with a splash of New orleans funk.   Current members of the band include Scott Myers, Eduardo Tozzatto, Brent Rose, Tedo Oliviera, Tommy Sciple and Nick Solnick.   Please explore the website at your leisure, and if you'd like to know about upcoming shows, please use the link on the front page to sign up for our mailing list, which is confidential and used solely for information regarding Chegadão shows and CD releases.  You can also find us on Facebook through the link below.  For booking information, please see the "Contact" section of the website.
